Still cuts of JYJ members’ Christmas wish to their fans [Official JYJ webpage]
Korean idols JYJ have opened their official website (www.c-jes.com), according to the group’s promoter Prain Inc. on Friday.

Prain announced in a press release that JYJ’s management company C-JeS have created the official webpage through which Jaejung, Yuchun and Junsu will be able to communicate with their fans.

The main page of the website features a tab that introduces their discography for their world album “The Beginning” and the group’s upcoming schedule as well as individual pictures and videos. The site will also be available in Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese.

To celebrate the launch of their official webpage, each member also uploaded a video message to greet and send out their holiday wishes to their fans.

JYJ, formed of Jaejung, Yuchun and Junsu, made their debut in 2004 as part of the popular boy band TVXQ, but despite their phenomenal success in Asia, they ceased their activities as a group after being involved in a legal dispute with the Korean agency SM Entertainment.

They made a comeback to the music scene in October as a trio under the name JYJ and released their record in mid-October after which they held a global showcase and held their first concert as JYJ.

The boys recently began their autograph session tour in five cities across the nation including Seoul, Daegu, Busan, Incheon and Gwangju, for fans who purchased the limited edition of “The Beginning.”

101222 Super Junior and TVXQ make their mark on Twitter’s 2010 results!

2010 marked a boom in the Twitterverse statistics, as more and more celebrities began to use the social networking platform to reach out to their fans. Consequently, fan interaction bumped up another level – celebrities could update quickly on news (whether personal or work-related), or give small presents in the form of numerous selcas.

As the year draws to a close, Twitter revealed their end-of-the-year report on the top Twitter topics and trends of 2010.

According to Mashable, 20% of the trends from 2010 were related to entertainment, and within the entertainment category, 47% was related to music.

What’s next is quite astonishing: 10% of the music-related tweets involved Korea’s popular idol group Super Junior, while 2% were of TVXQ. Mashable’s report stated: “Interestingly, music beats out TV in the entertainment vertical, thanks no doubt to the awesome power of Twitter’s boy king himself, Justin Bieber. His only Twitter trend rival, the unstoppable Korean pop group Super Junior, raked in 10% of the music-related trends, falling short of Bieber’s 27%.

Super Junior also made their mark on WhatTheTrend, which calculated the ‘Top Twitter Trends of 2010‘. The “Bonamana” singers landed in the 12th spot, and were the only K-pop related topics on the list.

It just goes to show that Twitter is becoming the best way for Korean celebrities to keep in touch with their fans, and vice versa.  A huge round of applause for Super Junior and their ELFs, as well as TVXQ and their Cassies, for indirectly promoting K-pop through their tweets!

‘Tears of Heaven’ producers worried about illegal ticket purchases

It was reported that internet users have been illegally selling tickets online for Xiah Junsu’s ‘Tears of Heaven‘ musical for around $1130 USD each.

15,000 tickets of the musical sold out at an unbelievably rapid rate of 5 minutes, which have been causing unlucky fans, both Korean and international, to purchase tickets from resellers at an alarmingly high price.

“We’re always thankful for the explosive interest for the musical, however, we are worried for those who are trying to get hold of the sold out tickets through illegal resales,” stated the producer of ‘Tears of Heaven’.

Meanwhile, the first performance of “Tears of Heaven” will be held on February 1st of 2011.
